FAQ

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Eat a full meal at least an hour before you get here and stay hydrated. Feel free to also bring any snacks or beverages. You may take breaks if needed. Water will be available at the shop.

You may bring entertainment to keep yourself busy if it helps such as headphones, iPad or a book.

If you are using your phone during the session, be aware and cautious of any movements which may affect on tattooing you.

Dress appropriately for your session with the placement of the tattoo in mind, and clothes you don’t mind getting possibly dirty.

If you are sunburnt or have any other skin issues in the area we are working on, you will need to reschedule.

If you are feeling unwell in any manner, please reschedule.

Expect to be in the shop slightly longer than the actual tattooing time.

It is likely there will be time allocated for stenciling, resizing, repositioning, or freehanding the design directly on skin.

How does the deposit work?

The deposit goes towards the total cost of your tattoo.

We have a 24 Hour Cancelation/Rescheduling Policy.

If you do not call to cancel, or reschedule before 24 hours of your appointment, you will forfeit your deposit.

A new deposit will be required to schedule another appointment.

What is the minimum price?

I take only two types of appointments:

By the design (smaller tattoos ranging anywhere from quarter size, to hand size) will be priced at a flat rate. (Prices Vary)

By the hour (Large Scale tattoos, anything bigger than hand size, Ex. Arm Sleeves, and Leg Sleeves.) 150$ an Hour

so $100 is the minimum price for a piece.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

A client shall be at least 18 years of age to receive a tattoo. You need proof of a valid State or Federal Photo ID. No exceptions.

Will I get to see a drawing or sketch before my session?

I do not send out drawing prior to the appointment. You will be shown a sketch when you arrive for your appointment, any changes can be made on the spot. Do not be afraid to ask for adjustments, I have no problem doing it. I want us to both be happy with the final design! It is much easier to discuss the design in person, instead of sending sketches back and forth. This is why it is important to understand and trust an artist style, expertise, and skill by carefully looking through the portfolio to get an idea of how your piece may be. Having a clear idea will also help in designing your piece.

What are your Aftercare Instructions?

Every Artist has their own aftercare instructions. Mine may differ from others instructions.

If you are given Saniderm:

Leave the bandage (saniderm) on for 3-5 Days. You will see blood, and ink surface under the bandage. Do not worry, that is completely normal! Your skin will reabsorb it.

If your bandage does leak, or fills up with water when you are showering. Remove the bandage. It is okay if this happens.

Do not take hot showers! Take cold to lukewarm showers for at least a week. Hot water can cause your pores to open up, and the ink to spread.

Avoid any excessive sweating for at least a week. (Ex. Excercising, or intense Work Labor)

Do NOT go into the pool, or hot tub! Chlorine has chemicals in it, that will damage your tattoo!

Avoid the ocean! Soaking in the ocean for longer than 30 minutes, can cause the bandage to come off sooner.

Once your bandage is removed, wash your tattoo with a small bead of antibacterial soap. Rinse the tattoo, and let it air dry.

Once it is dry, appply healing ointment, 1-2 times a day or whenever it begins to dry out. (You will be given enough healing ointment, to get you through the initial healing process.) A little goes a long way! So only apply a small amount, just enough to make the skin shiny. You do not want to clog the tattoo with oinment!

Can I Get A Touch Up?

You can get one free touch up within one year of recieving your tattoo! Please allow the tattoo a few months to fully settle into your skin, before scheduling a touch up appointment. Any additional touch ups, will be charged. (Prices Vary depending on the size of the tattoo, and how much needs to be touched up.)
